Dress to Impress!

All students:
  • Hair must be pulled back and secured from your face during all classes.
  • Jewelry is not permitted except for small earrings.
  • Boys may wear comfortable pants/shorts and a tee shirt for all classes. 
Creative Movement (ages 2.5-4):
  • Please wear comfortable clothing OR a leotard and tights.
  • Non-slip socks or ballet shoes are recommended. Girls will need pink ballet shoes for the recital, and boys will need black.
Students ages 4 -7:
  • Please wear a leotard and tights for Ballet, Tap and Jazz. You can also wear clothes over top, including a shirt, shorts or skirt. No specific colors are required. 
  • For Ballet, please wear ballet shoes. Girls will need pink ballet shoes for the recital, and boys will need black.
  • For Tap, please wear tap shoes. These students normally wear tan buckle tap shoes in the recital.
  • For Jazz, please wear jazz shoes. These students normally wear tan jazz shoes in the recital.
  • For Acro, please wear tight workout clothing or dancewear, and have bare feet.
  • For Hip Hop, please wear comfortable clothing with clean sneakers.
Recreational students 8 & up:
  • You may wear a leotard and tights OR other appropriate dancewear/activewear.
  • For Ballet, please wear ballet shoes. Girls will need pink ballet shoes for the recital, and boys will need black.
  • For Tap, please wear tap shoes. You could need tan or black for the recital.
  • For Jazz, please wear jazz shoes. These students normally wear tan jazz shoes in the recital.
  • For Acro, please wear tight workout clothing or dancewear, and have bare feet.
  • For Hip Hop, please wear comfortable clothing with clean sneakers.
  • For Lyrical, you may wear turning shoes or paws.
  • For Contemporary, please have bare feet.
Company students ages 7 & up:
  • X4 & X5: For Ballet, please wear a leotard, tights, and ballet shoes. A skirt is optional. No specific colors are required. Hair must be pulled back.
  • X1, X2, & X3: For Ballet and Pointe, black leotards, pink tights, and pink ballet shoes are mandatory. Ballet skirts are optional. Hair must be pulled up in a tight bun. Warm-up clothes are allowed for a small portion of warm-up.
  • For Acro, Jazz, Technique, Contemporary, and Lyrical, please wear appropriate dancewear or activewear. Acro is in bare feet. Shoes are up to the discretion of your teacher otherwise.
  • For Tap, please wear tap shoes. You may need tan or black for the recital.
  • For Hip Hop, please wear comfortable clothing with clean sneakers.
Dancewear or activewear cannot be overly revealing, inappropriate, or a distraction (short shorts, low cut shirts or bra tops). Students should not have to adjust clothing while dancing.
